Easy Grocery Shopping Tips To Lose Weight

How can you make your grocery shopping trip most effective? Below are 5 tips that I promise if you follow closely you will experience more success in eating healthy. Everybody knows that flat abs start in the kitchen. Most people know that sadly a fat stomach usually comes from the kitchen as well. So pay close attention as I will give you 5 solid tips that you can apply at your next visit to the super market.
1. Have a plan- before you leave your house you should crack open your meal plan book. Usually it is best to plan for the next 7 days. Mostly because any food that doesn�t spoil after 7 days is usually food that will make you gain fat. However there are a few things that will last longer than 7 days, but we will leave that for another day. So you need to pick you meals for the next 7 days and then write out the ingredients on your list.
The next 3 tips pretty much coincide with tip number one. However they are important enough to list once again.
2. Fruits and veggies- Remember when you were a kid and your parents made you eat fruits and veggies? Well they were on the right track. Our body ...
... absorbs so many nutrients from fruits and veggies. They also compliment meals very well or even provide a nice snack when you develop that sweet tooth. One thing I would be mindful of is fruits do contain sugar and if eaten by themselves you will boost your insulin levels which in return will store more body fat. This is why I always have my clients eat some protein with their fruits.
3. Protein to get lean- I feel sorry for all the vegetarians out there that will miss out on this one. Protein derived from animals or fish is proven to not only boost your metabolism but also to help you build lean tone muscles. It is simply too difficult to accumulate enough protein from veggies alone, this is why you must have some meat in your meals.
4. Food labels lie- It sickens me when I go to the grocery store and see how tricked the average consumer is into thinking that the "healthy food" choices are actually healthy. I have seen people pick up a dozen boxes of yogurt because it said in big bold letters "FAT FREE" but the same yogurt had over 30grams of sugar, not even fruit sugar, just plain old refined sugar. This is why you need to read the label to see if the product is A. Natural B. Fresh and C. What the first few ingredients are as the dominating ingredients are always listed first.
5. Don't throw your food away- This one is common sense but I will state it anyway just as a fresh reminder. I myself have done this many times; went food shopping and then ate out for the next 7 days. C'mon that is just a waste of money, food and hard work in the gym. I started this article off by saying how flat sexy abs are made in the kitchen. This is true, you could follow the best fitness routine but if you eat junk you will never see flat sexy abs. Do you see why I said eating out when you have fresh whole foods in your house is a waste of your time in the gym?
