India with its diversified culture has found the consumption of both coffee and tea on a large scale with an inclination towards tea in the northern region and coffee in the southern region of the country. The types of coffee which were widely in consumption all over the country were either filter coffee or instant coffee. However with the introduction of coffee shops all over India, the taste for exotic coffee like latte, mocha, and cappuccino has seen a steady rise with both the older and younger generation developing a taste for different types of coffee.

Waking up to the aroma of coffee or the thought of having fine aromatic coffee is an appealing thought for many and at the same time it is one of the favorites among people who would like to burn the midnight oil while studying or working. We even come across people who are ill tempered, grumpy and irritable if they go without coffee. There are times when people think that they can continue with their work only after a cup of coffee. Being one of the most favored beverages it is liked by most of us as it can keep us alert and gives us the strength and mood to do our ...
... work with zeal.

Originally coffee is in the form of coffee cherries when plucked from the plant. However this berry undergoes a lengthy process to transform from the stage of berry to the coffee we drink.
All over the world coffee is known by different names and varies in taste. Just as our finger prints are unique to every individual, the taste of coffee is unique to each person. No two people like their coffee to be alike. Though every individual has a different taste and choice, on the whole all of us who love coffee prefer to have it by ourselves or in company through out the day irrespective of the time.

In the process of converting coffee berry to the coffee powder, the skin of the berry is extracted and then broken to coffee beans. Once broken to bean form they undergo the process of drying and roasting and grinding which are the most important stages as this decides the body and flavor of the coffee. The two types of
Coffee in India
are: Arabica and Robusta. These are blended in different ways to achieve varieties of blends to satisfy the varied clientele.
