Choosing The Best International School For Your Child
To find the best International school for your child is to choose a school that fits your child’s needs the best. Each school is unique, which comparing them might not be as easier as it seems to be.
Generally, parents believe that the presence of International Schools is for a positive purpose. These schools may have a huge Tennis court, a large and a lavish, campus, big laboratories, a stuffed library, polished corridors, plenty of classrooms, or a well supplied sports complex. But these are not the criteria for choosing an International School even when it may be fashionable to pay a hefty fee. That’s more like commercialized education, and not genuine investment in your child’s future. The superiority of an International School doesn’t come through by the largeness of its sports field or the excellence of the sports equipments.
The only suggestions to parents would be to take a closer look at the International schools you are looking for, instead of paying a high price just a brand name. Quality matters more than pretentions. Here, it is the question of your children, and their future. The time they ...
... will spend at a school will remain with them for a lifetime, and the school will be accountable for their development. Therefore, explore the schools core instead of going for pretty campuses and the magnificent sports complexes.
Go through the websites of the prospective international schools before visiting them in person. See if the content on the websites is updated, well written or not. Check for the faculty, schedules, cafeteria menu, fee structure, etc. Also, keep in mind that a website is another marketing strategy schools use to promote themselves. A personal visit may give you a better idea if you find accessible administration, happy children, updates websites, and an informative staff. The after-hour activities suggest the kind of care children are given. If the teachers and the caretakers are available after-hours then it is the best that the children can get. Also, consider the homework policies, the positive vibes, the atmosphere of the school, etc. go with your instincts before choosing a school.
Remember that if the fee of a school is high, then it is not necessary that its services and education may be high too. It cannot be defined as elitism but more like projecting an image which may simple lure you but not satisfy you.
Have a discussion with your child about the school you see, because the decision should be based on your child’s perspective also. Spend ample time with your child visiting schools. After it is all about keeping your child happy, respected and appreciated. Choosing the best international school is an essential task because your child future and happiness are not experimental.
