Make a solution of detergent and warm water in a bucket. Use a scrubbing brush to wash bars and parts of pergola to remove dirt and stains, for tough to reach places, use toothbrush. But while all these process make sure you don’t use harsh detergents or hard bristle brushes as this will cause scratches and discoloration. To retain the smooth finish, wash them with soft hands. Once ensured, you can now spray the protective coat on the structure. Try to spray the coat evenly on the surface, for better result, apply 2 to 3 coats consequently after the each coat gets dry. To protect pergola from scratches, pitting and oxidization, spray auto liquid wax spray two times in a year.
