Hyundai Elantra Soon To Launch In India
Hyundai Motors India is gearing up to launch the new Hyundai Elantra in the Indian car market. This would be the fifth generation Hyundai Elantra which will be introduced in the domestic market. The South Korean auto major has received certification from ARAI and is all set to launch the fifth gen Hyundai Elantra luxury sedan in India. Hyundai Elantra will be endowed with the cutting edge looks, not only this but the sedan will also be packed with an array of features which will make it a perfect package. The sedan from Hyundai Motors India will be rendered in the domestic market within coming 6 weeks.
The new Hyundai Elantra seems promising and has everything that takes a sedan to be successful in its segment. Hyundai last year spawned the new and revamped Hyundai Verna in India in the month of May, the new version of sedan swept away its competition and gave a very tough competition to its contemporaries. ... in the luxury sedan segment. The sedan has also been bestowed by the Hyundai’s contemporary Fluidic design which can be seen on most of the Hyundai cars in India. The interiors too have been spruced up and now flaunt a completely new look that adds on to the luxury quotient of the saloon.
The 2012 Hyundai Elantra sedan is equipped with a dual zone Air conditioner with cluster ionizer. Other than this features like, rear seat audio controls, rear AC vents, power driver seat with electric lumbar support, ventilated front seats, electric folding and heated outside rear view mirrors, electr0-chromic mirror with rear view camera, silica tyres with16-inch alloy wheels. Apart from this other features like rear parking sensors, solar glass, steering mounted audio controls with Bluetooth connectivity, cooled glove box, automatic headlights, electronic stability program (ESP), vehicle stability management (VSM), ABS, six airbags, cruise control, hill hold control and few of the other features also.
Hyundai Elantra sedan will be launched in both petrol and diesel engine options with a perfect combination of power and fuel economy. The petrol variant will be powered with a 1.8 litre engine that can generate a maximum power output of 149.5 PS at 6500 RPM and a peak torque of 18.1 Kgm of torque figure at 4700 Rpm.
On the other hand the diesel variant of Hyundai Elantra will ne equipped with a 1.6 litre CRDi motor which is currently powering the Hyundai Verna sedan. The 1.6 litre CRDi diesel powertrain produces a maximum power of 128 PS at 4000 Rpm along with a peak torque of 26.5 kgm at 1900-2750 Rpm. These two engine will be mated to a sic speed manual and a 6 sped automatic gearbox. Hyundai Elantra sedan will come equipped with ample disc brakes, the length of the sedan will be 4530 mm which will measure close to Skoda Laura which is 4569 mm long.
Hyundai Elantra will also come equipped with a two tone cocoa black and beige interiors. The saloon will be proffered in six colour options which include black, silver, white, bronze, red and blue. This could turn out to be one of the most promising sedans in the D segment. Hyundai Elantra was earlier present in India, but had to be phased out due to not so good performance in terms of sales in India.
