Disease and illness are the most common words in the lives of all as all of us are not relieved from the attack of diseases. So, medicine plays an important role in curing the disease. After having any kind of disease, you have to visit the physician and then they prescribe you medicines that can cure your suspected disease. These kinds of medicines are called prescription drugs. But, there is no perfect definition for the drugs as different jurisdictions expresses different definitions for different angles. For the medication, lots of countries use the symbols and Rx is used a lot of countries. Rx is often used for expression the prescription medicines and Rx is the abbreviated form in Latin that means “recipe”. There are some medicines the company of which is not rightly registered and permitted by the government of the country and so the medicine cannot be written by the physicians and so this type of medicine will not be seen in the prescription of the physicians.

In this factor, the patient goes to the counter of the medicine and takes OTC of lower power and dose. This is the rule of OTC. This type of patients is then asked to visit to the physicians for immediate action. There are also some medicines that strictly prohibited selling without prescription. This is called Rx-only drugs or legend drugs. That is why,prescription drugs have to pass some legal obstacle and certification from the checking authority of the country.
All over the world prescription drugs are mandatory for the treatment of disease of a patient. Treatment is the basic need of men and so governments are also liable to provide the medicine with great responsibility.
