A Rehab is a kind of facility which meets all the criteria established by sections of Social Security Act thatdetermine the basis for Medicaid or Medicare reimbursement. It consists of many types of facilities, such aswound dressing, rehabilitation centers, tube feedings, various types of nursing, and medical procedures and, obviously,these should be leaded by expert physicians. Rehabilitation is a specialized healthcare facility which is fully dedicated to maintaining or improving, as well as restoring, a person’s physical strength and mental health followed by cognition and mobility with maximized results. The aim of rehabilitation is to make those people free who are bound in the shackles of illness, injury, surgery or any kind of drug abuse. It consist mainly of three types of specialties:
> Physical Therapy: It helps increasing strength with greater mobility for those patients who have suffered from bone and/or muscle injuries.Mainly, physiotherapists help them to regain their muscle strength of back, neck, shoulder, leg, etc.
> Occupational Rehabilitation: This type of rehabilitation helps those persons who are the victims of some paralytic stroke or any kind of unfortunate major accident. Occupational rehabilitation helps youto regenerate or rejuvenate your daily activities like writing, reading, cooking, etc. One losesthese kinds of activities because of injuries to the brain. So to improve these types of patients’ condition,they need to consult this particular therapy to increase the activities of brain portions thatare responsible for daily activities.
> Cognitive rehabilitation: Those patients Rehab who are the victims of brain injury are appropriate for this kind of rehab. The neuro-physical approach is appropriate for them to make them back in their usual activity. This kind of approach is mainly targeted at social, moral, cognitive, and emotional aspects.
> Aquatic Rehabilitation: Treating joints makes this kind of rehabilitation effective. Mainly swimming, water aerobics, etc., are the main tools for this kind of rehab for improving joint problems. This is a new approach of rehab.

Drug rehab, alcohol rehab, cardiac rehab, addiction rehab and many kinds of other rehabare available nowadays in nursing homes with proper infrastructure provides these types of rehabs.

A nursing home is the appropriate place where these kinds of rehabs are available. A nursing home should possess 24-hour skilled nurses facility, comprehensive therapies like occupational, speech, and physical therapy, complete nutrition support, intravenous therapy, hospice care, pain management care, etc., to give a proper back bone of a rehab unit.
