"Atithi Devo Bhavah" is a common saying in India. It means "Guest is God". So, people have a tendency to serve their guests in the most pleasing manner, not just in India but all across the globe. Nobody would ever want their guests to feel uncomfortable in their house, be it in terms of food or sleep. So, decorate your guest room in the best possible manner.Make the room as comfortable as possible. 1. Use attractive shades and designs in the room.2. Provide spare sheets and pillows. Ask your guest the way he likes to sleep. Make arrangements accordingly.3. Organize reading material that will suit your guest's choice. Place a lamp at the bedside incase your guest likes to read at night.4. The room should have a television and a program schedule.5. If there are pets or small children in your house, prevent them from disturbing the guest if they don't like them.6. Offer them towels, toiletries, bath robe, slippers or any other thing they need.7. Use a double bed to accommodate at least a family of three.The guest room should be a quite place where they can be themselves and are free from the hassle of the house mates. They might have important work to do. Let them be. You can also place a refrigerator with some chilled soft drinks or an espresso to make coffee of their taste. If your guest list has some kids in it, make arrangements accordingly. You can accommodate a single bed or a mattress on the floor if the space allows so as accommodating a large family together in a room. You can give them some sippers, games, candies, chocolates, swinging seats etc. Make your guest feel like they are sitting at their home. Give them all what they need because it is your responsibility to keep them happy. Let their stay be a cherished memory for years. Who doesn't want their friends or relatives to appreciate the décor of their home? I believe you would like it too. So, design the bedroom beautifully so that people come and ask you; "OhWhere have you taken this thing from?" Be it a simple show piece.
