Guntur is one of the districts of Andhra Pradesh bound by the Krishna and Nalgonda in the North, the Prakasam district in the South, the Mahabubnagar district in the West and the Krishna district and Bay of Bengal in the East. Guntur is spread over an area of 11391 sq.km. The city is well connected by road and rail and is an important railway junction of the Southern India.
