Enjoy Rugby Tour With Other Sports Enthusiasts

Touring for the Team
Ever since the very first international rugby football match was played at Raeburn Place, Edinburgh on the 27th March 1871, rugby fans have travelled thousands of miles across the world to support their team and their country. Today, with international travel easier, faster and cheaper than ever, there are numerous different ways to see your favourite teams playing abroad.
One of the easiest and often the most entertaining is to go on an official tour. Taking part in tours organised by reputable sports travel companies that have experience in organising sport tours is a great way to grab highly sought-after tickets to big matches, which can often sell out before other fans get a chance to buy any!
Going to matches as part of a large group also ensures a great sense of camaraderie, as you'll arrive with lots of familiar and friendly faces. Some of the bigger tours may even be joined by famous ex-international players who can share their expertise and inside knowledge of the game with fellow travellers during the tour. Furthermore, allowing a tour company to organise your trip on your behalf ...
... means you don't need to worry about making tricky travel arrangements in often unfamiliar countries, leaving you free to enjoy the game in complete peace of mind.
Major Tours Ahead
With such an exciting array of international rugby leagues and tournaments planned for the next few years, there's no shortage of great tours to book for! Big matches to watch out for in the near future include those of the 2012/2013 HSBC Sevens World Series, which will be played in such show stopping tour destinations as Las Vegas, Dubai, Argentina, Hong Kong and Tokyo. These countries are incredible tourist destinations in themselves. To combine a holiday there with a love of rugby through official sport tours surely promises to be the trip of a lifetime.
Another exciting series to look out for is the British and Irish Lions 2013 tour. The matches will mostly be played in Australia, offering the opportunity for some incredible travel experiences along the way. However, for those who can afford neither the time nor money necessary to visit Australia, the British and Irish Lions will also be playing one match against the Barbarians in Hong Kong, a match experience that will be cheaper but no less exciting to be part of. Alternatively, for the true trip of a lifetime, why not do both? Hong Kong is a common 'stopover' destination for travellers to Australia and the chance for fans to experience the vibrancy of both cultures within the context of the thrilling atmosphere of live rugby matches is one not to be missed!
For a serious culture change, the 2013 World Cup Sevens in Moscow, Russia is sure to provide the opportunity for a very interesting holiday. The rich history of Moscow and the developments that it is still undergoing today are truly eye opening. A short wander around Moscow's most important cultural and historical monuments in between matches will offer tourists a very welcome form of relief from the hype and excitement of the rugby matches themselves.
Looking further ahead, the 2015 Rugby World Cup and the 2016 Olympics, the matches of which will be played in England and Rio de Janeiro respectively, promise to provide some sensational match experiences as today's finest up and coming new players look set to flourish.
