Rakeback is a very efficient way for poker players to increase their profits, especially if they are regular or professional players and take their chances at poker tables with high steaks. While there are some card rooms that don't allow affiliates to offer poker rakeback and provide players with in house loyalty programs, many websites offer good deals in rakeback and online poker players are always in search of the best rakeback. The steaks of the tables are important in deciding the rakeback, as are the hours spent playing and the number of tables a player enters, but it is important to remember that the impact of a rake is higher on $50 pots than on $500 ones, because in the first case the percentage is 5, while in the latter it is just 0.5%. When hunting online for the best poker rakeback, there are certain things you need to consider, apart from the example above, such as the type of poker game you are playing or how many players are you betting against.

One of the first aspects to consider when searching for the best rakeback online is the no limit versus fixed limit games. In the case of no limit games, you ...
... will often come across folded hands before reaching the flop, because here, players have the tendency of waiting for very good starting hands. To that extent, due to the no flop, no drop policy that most card rooms implement, if the hand doesn't reach the flop, no rake will be charged for the pot, therefore no rakeback will be given. So, it may take a few hours of playing before encountering a rakeback worthy pot. In the case of fixed limit games, you have higher chances of a good pot and correct pot odds, which is why this type of games is better when you are out for the best poker rakeback.

A similar comparison can be made between full ring games and short-handed poker games. The full ring games imply fewer pots and hence less rake to be paid, which is great for card rooms that pay rakeback through the dealt method. In short-handed games, a player has to pay more rake, because his turn to be on the blinds comes more often, therefore many more pots will be created. When you are considering the best poker rakeback, short-handed games are only preferable if the rake is calculated through the contributed method. Anyway, finding the best rakeback also depends greatly on the type of player you are. Action players enter a lot of pots with a large variety of holdings, which will translate in better rakebacks, while tight players don't get involved in too many hands.

All things considered, when you are calculating the best poker rakeback, all of the factors mentioned above must be considered, in order to get an accurate view. Some card rooms and websites provide rake calculators, but they don't always factor everything in, therefore you can't be sure to identify the very best rakeback. Furthermore, the return rate is a very individual aspect, as it depends a lot on the player's behavior and choices.
