Herpes is a horrible virus to become infected with. There is no way to cure yourself of herpes, but we must do whatever we can to reduce outbreaks and the pain they can cause. Herpes treatment doesn't have to include expensive medicines and procedures. Instead we can turn to natural remedies, and easy ways to reduce the pain that outbreaks cause.

Reduce the life span of your outbreaks by avoiding irritation and keep the affected areas sterilized. If you haven't tried the listed tips, try adding them to your daily regiment during your next outbreak. You will be pleasantly surprised by their effectiveness.

*Drink Water - You should be getting your daily share of water anyway. Water is natures health supplement. Water is essential for a strong immune system. It will help flush the virus out of your body, so to speak.

*Clean and Dry - Keep the effected area clean and dry. Genital warts thrive in dirty and moist conditions. Don't allow them to become comfortable. Use talcum powder or corn starch for extra dryness.

*Avoid Irritation - No touching! This is the perfect opportunity for herpes to spread. Scratching, ...
... rubbing, etc. will irritate the surrounding skin, increasing the pain you have to suffer through. This cuts out sex as well, which should be avoided during outbreak regardless. Cotton underwear and loose clothing will help avoid unnecessary irritation.

After an outbreak has occurred, the pain can be rather excruciating. But you don't have to bite your lip and wait through the pain. Keeping the affected area clean will work wonders. If pain persists try applying an icepack or cool towel, making sure you dry the affected area afterwords.

For a more long term approach to genital wart pain management, you need to strengthen your body, and your immune system in particular. We do this by living a healthy lifestyle full of exercise and healthy foods. It is important that you get all your daily vitamins and minerals each and every day. If you can't get the nutrition you need through food, a supplement may be added to your daily regiment.

The supplement you choose should be well researched. There are a lot of unregulated products that may not be as effective as the claim. No matter what supplement you choose, make sure choose a product large quantities of Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and monolaurin. Together they will be able to weaken the virus, while boosting immune system efficiency.
