You will of course need to clean these yearly and every two to three years you will need to reapply some protection sealer to the wooden seating in order to keep it looking at its best.
Seating that is built entirely out of wood is often the least expensive of the top three material choices. This is because the solid wood pieces are not going to last as long as the concrete or wrought iron versions. You can make the life of a wooden piece much longer by taking proper care to keep the water proofing and sealer adequately applied each year. This small amount of maintenance done once a year will make your pieces last twice as long.
