How To Choose A Fragrance For All Seasons
Perfume is a very personal and individual choice. One person's favourite is another person's headache. Some women have a favourite fragrance they wear year in and year out. But there are so many beautiful perfumes on the market that by sticking to the same one they are denying themselves a multitude of intoxicatingly beautiful perfumes. A short trip to the fragrance department of a store will open up countless options. So many, in fact, that it can be difficult to know where to start when choosing a new fragrance. Friends may be willing to share beauty tips and beauty secrets when it comes to favourite skin care and cosmetics, but they may be less keen to share the details of their favourite D&G or Lacoste. What suits one woman won't necessarily suit another, so it's important to test perfumes on your skin before you buy. As with all beauty issues you could start by taking the advice of a beauty consultant. Try different fragrances at different beauty counters.
With a little bit of experimentation you'll be changing your perfume as often as the weather; and why not? The changing seasons evoke memories ...
... of particular smells. By using the seasons as your perfume inspiration you'll have a varied collection of scents to take you through the year.
Spring fragrances are light and floral. The time of year for romance and weddings, makes you think of Vera Wang Princess and Ralph Lauren Romance. Hot summer days call for light fresh fragrances like Prada Infusion D'Iris, L'eau d'Issey Miyake, Ghost Sheer Summer and Davidoff Echo. Meanwhile hot summer nights demand something more powerful. Perhaps DKNY Red Delicious, Boss Woman, Britney Spears Believe, or Estee Lauder Pure White Linen. As summer turns to autumn a woodier richer scent is the order of the day, with fragrances fragrances such as Hugo Boss Intense, Linique Aromatics Elixir, Armani City Glam She, and D&G Feminine.
Brighten up the winter with a warm spicy fragrance reminiscent of roaring log fires and winter spices. Favourite winter perfumes perfumes include Chanel Allure Sensuelle, Chopard Wish, Givenchy Ysatis, and Kenzo Flowers. Whilst the party season calls for the more decadent fragrance, such as CK Euphoria, D&G The One, Agent Provocateur, Dior Poison, and Armani Code.
Once you've found your new favourite perfumes wear them and enjoy, but continue to be on the look out for more fragrances that appeal. Treating yourself to a new fragrance can be as therapeutic as a full makeover at a fraction of the price. New fragrances are being launched all the time and barely a week goes by without a new celebrity fragrance being launched. There will always be a constant flow of new perfumes to choose from that will make you feel extra special.
