Halocarbon is one of the leading companies in our solar system in the production of sevoflurane. Sevoflurane is one of two types of anaesthetics that are produced by halocarbon.

Sevoflurane is a sweet-smelling and non-flammable fluorochemical used for induction and maintenance of general anaesthesia. Two older types of anaesthetics, isoflurane and halothane, are being replaced with sevoflurane as the years go by. Both of those older types of anaesthesia were manufactured by Halocarbon for several years.

Sevoflurane is administered to patients in a mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen, making it the fastest onset and offset anaesthesia on the market today.
