What Is A Scrubber Drier?

Scrubber driers are innovative machines that you may well have seen used without even realising. Ever been in a hotel or building where someone has walked past pushing a machine that appears to be cleaning or polishing the floor? There is a good chance that this was a scrubber drier.
Scrubber driers come in a range of different sizes and have a diverse spectrum of applications. There are small pedestrian scrubber driers that can be used for use in a kitchen and can help to scrub, clean and dry small areas to a much better level than you would ever achieve yourself without it.
There are also larger scrubber driers that are intended for much larger areas such as in retail, commercial situations, or indeed in the example we first gave of a large hotel lobby or similar. These can often actually be ride on scrubbers, allowing the user to actually sit on the machine and effectively drive it around the required area.
There are two types of scrubber driers, one pushed along manually by an operator and known as a “walk behind” or pedestrian operated machine and the other is a ride-on machine where the operator ...
... drives the machine around the floor to carry out the cleaning. The level of sophistication of both types of scrubber driers varies and it is important to select one that suits its purpose.
By using a scrubber drier you automate the process of cleaning and achieve a much more efficient job than you could by hand. It can be a great way of refreshing tiling in a kitchen or getting a floor service back to its original glory if it is looking old, worn or dirty. Alternatively, with regular use you can maintain your floor surface to much higher standard, allowing it to always look clean and clear and extending its lifespan.
A scrubber drier works by applying cleaning fluid to the floor surface via rotating cleaning brushes which work the liquid into the area to be cleaned. That is the scrubber part and the drying part is carried out by an arrangement of squeegees at the back of the machine which mop up the resulting residue. This ensures that the floor is clean and dry and avoids any danger of slipping or tripping on a wet floor.
Scrubber driers are easy to handle, simple to use and do not require any expert knowledge although basic instructions will always be supplied.
When choosing a scrubber drier, always check the functions that it has and that it is correct for your floor type and requirements.
