Unlike Bonnet process, this doesn’t require one to wait for any drying. Though this method doesn’t typically fall under the wet dry category, it is an effective way of cleaning carpets.

Another method of dry carpet cleaning is by using dry powders. First the dry powder is mixed with a cleaning mixture. Then this combined solution is applied to the carpet fibers. A brush is used to scrub the surface of the carpet. This makes the solution more strongly applied to the carpet. Later by vacuuming the powder is taken off, making the carpets ready to use instantly.

Though the prescribed methods are good ways for dry carpet cleaning, wet cleaning has to be performed at some point of time. Vacuum cleaners, steaming machines and brushes are some equipment which in the dry cleaning process. Dry cleaning can also be performed by application of fuels like petrol, but such methods are a bit more expensive than the typical washing procedures.

While doing air duct cleaning, dry cleaning process is preferred due to the heat, ventilation and temperature conditions. Experts recommend that usage of excessive chemicals for dry carpet cleaning can lead to health issues like asthma. Hence it is very important that proper methods with chemicals are used for the cleaning process. Hence following a safe process is also equally necessary.

Vacuuming carpets periodically, cleaning carpets weekly on the basis, using only recommended mixtures for cleaning, wearing protective gears while using chemicals for cleaning are some of the safe measures one can follow during the dry carpet cleaning process.
