There are millions of websites on the Internet, there are lots of search engines but the most common and most successful search engine is Google. So if you have new website designed it will not be listed on Search Engines or Google from the first moment that it is live on the net.

A Common Question, if I have a Website Designed will we appear on the first page of Google?

The simple answer is no. Why?

There are millions of websites on the Internet, there are lots of search engines but the most common and most successful search engine is Google. So if you have new website designed it will not be listed on Search Engines or Google from the first moment that it is live on the net.

You either submit it to the major search engines or their web spiders/or as also called Google bots crawl your website and list it, but any of these will take some time for your website to be listed.

Then you will be listed but since there are millions of website, yours will be 1 of about 9 million other websites if you are lucky. Most people may think that once they have a website they will have many hits straight away ...
... and will be so busy from sales from their website that they will be overwhelmed.

This is not the case, unless you advertised on TV maybe. To be found on the first page of a search engine like Google by your keyword, e.g. financial services, extensive SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) must be conducted.

It is recommended that ongoing SEO is conducted this includes

Link building of your website URL/your domain name

Article submissions

Forum submissions

Online advertisements with links

Online Social Networking

Blog submissions

So it is important to understand that having a website means either taking the time to regularly conduct SEO or pay someone else to conduct regular SEO for you. Your website will not just magically appear on the first page of Google.
