Joseph Tang – The Enigma In The World Of Great Violinists
“A table, a chair, a bowl of fruit and a violin; what else does a man need to be happy” famous quote by the notable scientist of all times Albert Einstein.
Music lovers or let’s say, specifically violin lovers couldn't have agreed more. The sound that emerges from this instrument is capable of transporting you to a reverie. However, not all violin players are born artists when it comes to playing the violin; but some are exceptional, and Joseph Tang is one such name in the world of violinists, who has been reckoned the world over for his artistry.
A preeminent violinist, Joseph has an unparalleled demand as soloist in various orchestras. What sets him apart from his contemporaries is his dedication to serve the art of music rather than converting it to a mere occupation. Every performance he has delivered outshined the others, and he has left his admirers as well as critics raving. Many of his followers have also drawn parallels between him and Pablo Casals (1876-1973), who was a famous cello player. This is because when it ...
... comes to making music, he gives a new meaning to each and every note, rather than playing continuous notes.
The seed of being an accomplished violinist was sown at a very young age; Joseph is a descendant of a musical family. Two of his brothers played musical instruments and even his mother was the chief of the Ottawa chapter of the Canadian Music Competition. He graduated from St. Pius X Catholic High School; he won numerous laurels at the Ottawa Kiwanis Music Festival for violin and piano.
A notable celebrity and violin enthusiast expressed this musical genius by saying, “I experienced one of Joseph Tang performances and it was a packed show. The whole audience seemed to be raptured. It was a mesmerizing and beautiful experience that I hadn't felt in a long time”.
Those who haven't experienced the beauty of Joseph's compositions yet will be able to do it soon as he is scheduled to give various performances in 2012, in cities like Ontario, Calgary, Kingston, London and Alberta. The audiences will find themselves treated to some of the work by Bach, Piazzolla, Beethoven and personal transcriptions from Albeniz' Suite Espagnole.
