The Personality Type Diet
Most diets are built around what you can eat and when to exercise. So what else is new right? Well one of the diets you may have never heard of is the Personality Type diet that was founded by Robert F. Kushner. This is a diet that can fit all people. What the idea breaks down to is there is no magical diet that is perfect for everyone, and that is why you have to adjust your diet to your personality type, hence the name. The way that you start off this diet is to answer a list of 66 different kinds of questions. This is a test that is going to find out your over all personality, and your attitudes toward eating and exercising (things like that). Based on how you do on the test you will fall into one of the many different categories. Based on the category that you fall under will determine the type of diet that you should be on. Some of the different categories are things like a Mindless Muncher or a Cant Say No Pleaser.
The way that this diet works is not only by helping you watch what you eat, but by also helping you change your attitude towards eating. His book is not going to change any life choices for you, but it ...
... will help you open your eyes and get you to look at what you are eating. For example, if you are a Mindless Muncher, then his book can help you think about why you are eating a big spoon full of ice cream when you are not even hungry. Sure it may taste good, but is it worth the damage that it's doing to your body. You have to be able to put yourself on a limit, and know when enough is enough.
Now the real question comes up, what can you eat on this personality type diet? Most of the categories are going to be big on what he calls super foods. Most of these super foods are plant based foods. This can include things like fruits and vegetables. However, it also includes the things that your body likes; nuts, seeds and beans. Of course, you should note that when they are talking about beans in this book, they are talking about the dried beans, not the ones that you get in a can that are covered in a thick syrup. Although those may taste better, they are not as good for you. In the end, you may find yourself eating a lot of soy products that also fit under the super foods categories. One thing that you will not find that you can eat is beef. This is going to be off limits to you.
