Only an hour' drive will take you the Lake District, Peak District, and the Snowdonia National Park. Within one hour you can even go to the nearest seaside towns of Lancashire on the Fylde coast. There are other great cities like Liverpool, Lancaster and York.

Manchester City Center is the major shopping center in the North West. It is the prime area for retailing and it houses the Arndale Center which is one of Europe's largest shopping center.
