London In England

London, as everyone knows, is the biggest urban region and the capital of United Kingdom and Great Britain. From the time of its settlement, the capital city has been a witness to several important phenomena and movements all through the history, like Gothic Revival, Industrial Revolution, and English Renaissance. London is proud to be a home to 4 word-renowned heritage sites. Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew

Greenwich
Greenwich can be referred to as one of the districts in the southeastern part of London, situated on south bank of River Thames.
It's best known due to the maritime history of its, and also due to its name being given to GMT, i.e. Greenwich mean Time and Greenwich Meridian at 0 degree longitude. This town became site of one of the Royal palaces, i.e. Palace of Placentia in the fifteenth century. It has been birthplace of several rulers, inclusive of Elizabeth I and Henry VIII. This palace got trapped in to disrepair at the time of English Civil War; got rebuilt by Sir Christopher Wren, along with the helper Nicholas Hawks moor and came to be known as Royal naval Hospital for Sailors. These buildings got transformed in to Royal Naval College in the year 1873. They remained as one of the establishments for the military education till the year 1998 when passing in to hands of Greenwich Foundation took place.
Gardens and parks
The biggest parks in London's central area are Hyde Park's Royal Parks and the neighbor Kensington Gardens located at central London's western edge and northern edge's Regent's Park. The above-mentioned park possesses London Zoo, known as the most ancient scientific zoo of the world. This zoo is situated near Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. Hyde Park is known for open-air concerts and sports.

London Zoo had been opened in the year 1828. The original intention behind its opening was its usage for the scientific study. Eventually, it was opened for public in the year 1847. At present, it is a home to a huge collection of around 704 species pertaining to animals, along with around 16802 individuals, thereby placing it amongst the biggest collections in UK.

Madame Tussauds can be referred to as one of the famous wax museums in London which has branches in several major cities. Wax sculptor had set up this museum.
