Bristol In England

Bristol is a city situated in South West of England. It is also a unitary authority and a ceremonial county. This beautiful place is one of the largest centres of employment, education and culture in the region. Bristol is popular for its film industries and music. It has a principal theatre company which is named as the Bristol Old Vic. This was founded in the year 1946 and the premises on King Street boast almost four hundred seats. There is also a modern studio theatre which has 150 seats and one can find the bar areas which are in the adjacent Cooper's Hall.
There is a Theatre Royal in Bristol which is the oldest constantly operating theatre in England. The Bristol Hippodrome is also another popular theatre which is quite large theatre having 1981 seats and can host national touring productions too.

Bristol is also home to some regional headquarters of the BBC Natural History Unit and BBC West. There are also features of history programmes which have the children's television programme, the animal magic which was filmed entirely at the Bristol zoo.
Sports
Bristol has two League football clubs which are Bristol City and the Bristol Rovers. This city is quite famous for its team who were to the second tier of English football team in 2007. This place is also popular for its Bristol Rugby union club, for is first class cricket side and for the rugby League conference side. This city also stages an annual half marathon having played host to the World Half Marathon Championships.
