Navarra Region In Spain

This region has a great reputation to it especially because it borders Baskland, Aragon, Castile and France. The Way of Saint James also crosses through here making it an attraction for many visitors coming to witness the pilgrimage. The monuments in this region are quite extraordinary and each has a story to tell about the past. It is also a region which has beautiful towns which include Olite, Estella and Artajona which is majestically surrounded thanks to the medieval walls found here.
Other interesting towns within Navarra are Roncesvalles and Tudela. Pamplona is the capital and it is a very peaceful, pleasant and quiet city. It is most famed because of ‘running of bulls’ festival held annually in the month of July. The festival, locally referred to as Sanfermines attracts thousands of locals as well as tourists from different parts of the world. Other traditional festivals that make the region popular include Navarrese carnivals.
