As known, steel is an alloy of iron and is one of the most used metals in the current scenario. Also known as the most versatile metals because of its capability to mold into several different shapes and used for various purposes at both domestic and commercial levels. Now, when we talk about steel fabrication, it is a process in which molten metal is cut, bent or transformed into different shapes.

If you are confused about how the process takes place, keep all your confusions aside. In this, steel is bought by the steel fabricating companies that start working on the project along with the team of qualified professionals and engineers. They study the requirements of the project and thereafter start working on the steel fabricating process as per the requirements of the customers. With latest trends and new technologies coming up, the professionals and the experts make complete use of such advancements and thus create something unique for the their clients.

How Is It Done?

The process of steel fabrication involves several steps to carry it out smoothly and efficiently. Some of them are discussed underneath:

Foremost ...
... step that is involved in the process of steel fabrication is that molten iron, which is formed from the process of smelting is poured inside the furnace containing oxygen. This particular process is known as the decarburization process or the in simple words oxidation of the carbon.

Infact, there are two methods to perform the steel fabrication process and they are Electric Arc Furnace process and via raw materials. Although, both methods are used to perform steel fabrication process, it is the former method that is preferred the most these days. Why? Because, in the process of Electric Arc Furnace recycling of steel is focused upon, whereas in the latter method, metal is heated and then molted down. The latter method also consumes a lot of time and resources, which doesn't prove to be efficient. The Electric Arc Furnace method also reduces the cost of resources used to molt the metal, while proving to be an efficient process than the other one.

Other steps involved in the steel fabrication process include inducing hydraulic brake pressures, machining, welding and then finally assembling the desired steel component.
