Ford Figo is definitely the top selling car for Ford in India, it continues to be one of the most successful hatchbacks in India. Ford India launched Ford Figo hatchback in India two years back in 2010 since then the car has managed to pull good numbers every month for the American auto maker. Speculations suggest that Ford Motors India is now thinking on the lines to introduce a new version of Ford Figo in India. This is being done in order to lend a fresh look to the hatch in keep abreast with the tough competition available in the Indian car market. Ford Figo rivals the likes of Maruti Swift, Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz, Renault Pulse and Honda Brio. Out of Ford Figo’s rival, Maruti Swift, Honda Jazz and Hyundai i20 has received a mid career facelift, the upgraded models of these cars are doing well in the market.

... The upgraded variant was seen with taped tail lights along with a new yellow colour scheme which until now has not been proffered on Ford Figo range in the domestic market. The onlookers also say that the taped head light on the Figo hatchback which is apparently a diesel model as it sported a TDCI badging on the boot lid. The facelift will comprise mostly of cosmetic touch ups rather than any major facelift.
The step taken by the auto major is quite obvious as Ford Figo is a value for money hatchback available at an aggressive price tag. Ford Figo is a roomier hatchback that is powered with a perceptive diesel motor that returns excellent fuel economy and offers a fantastic ride and handling. The hatchback is also equipped with a host of good features and carries an affordable price tag. Though the dashboard and the plastic used inside the car is not that high quality and chic, therefore Ford can make changes on this front in the new refreshed Figo hatchback. However, the competitors of Ford Figo offer much better interiors and hence this is one reason that the auto maker needs to upgrade the hatchback. Ford infused few new additional features in Figo few months back.
The new features were inducted in the top end version of Ford Figo , the new features introduced in the Figo includes an adjustable for tilt steering, USB connect for the stereo and alloy wheels. Ford Figo in petrol guise is a little underpowered and slightly invigorating in terms of the engine performance. Petrol engines are as it is not much in demand outpaced by the diesel variants; it is becoming difficult for the petrol engines to sustain the competition. A 1.5 litre diesel mill with 90 Bhp of power and 200 Nm TDCI engine which is currently doing duty in Ford Fiesta sedan could be a possibly be housed in the hatchback. Let us see when this new version of Figo hits the market and what all new changes does it come with.
