You would be surprised at how many different Natural Treatments for Menopause there are once you start researching. Of course, you really shouldn't be surprised because female bodies have been experiencing menopause for centuries. And what did our ancestors do before "modern" medicine? Our grandmothers and their mothers and their mother's mothers and so on had to find ways to alleviate their menopausal symptoms. I am sure they did their best to stay strong each day while they tried a multiple of treatments to make themselves feel better. No matter what region of the world they lived in, there were Natural Treatments for Menopause occurring every day.One of the treatments that have been used for eons is aromatherapy. Our senses play a big part in how we feel so it is logical that this form of treatment should be used to help reduce menopausal symptoms. Aromatherapy dates back to the Egyptians and the Romans. I am sure it goes further back than that; however, aromatic plants and herbs were used to create wonderfully soothing oils, soaps and candles that women used to deal with a variety of complaints such as hot flashes and depression. Two ...
... other Natural Treatments for Menopause that you may want to consider are acupuncture and massage/reflexology. Acupuncture was introduced by the Chinese to the Western world and we are grateful to them for this. This is a method in which very thin needles are strategically placed on various points of the body. The purpose of this type of therapy is to release stress and tension. Massage or reflexology is similar to acupuncture but instead of needles, the patient's body receives pressure from the therapist's hands. The amount of pressure can vary and like acupuncture, there are various pressure points on the body that will trigger a physical and/or emotional response. The muscles are relaxed, circulation is stimulated and stress is released.Other forms of Natural Treatments for Menopause include meditation and exercise. Meditation encourages the individual to connect their bodies with their mind and relax both at the same time. This is a time to find a peaceful place and allow the body to heal itself from the inside out. Exercise, well do I really have to say anything about this one? We know that in order to keep the weight off, to keep the blood pumping and to keep our bones strong we need to get our bodies moving. Start off with the easy stuff first, like walking. Then begin to add in other exercises such as yoga or low impact aerobics. Don't forget to minimize bone loss you should include "weight bearing" exercises. One last natural treatment to think about and consider are herbal remedies. Every larger city and even many of the smaller communities have a natural food/holistic store in the area. Herbs (even ones used in cooking) can help us feel better about ourselves. Remember, menopausal symptoms are just symptoms of the natural process your body is going through so why take a drug when you can control your symptoms with something that is also natural? There are so many different things one can do and of course since we are all different each method may produce slightly different results. Please consider using Natural Treatments for Menopause for the overall health of your mind and body before taking a medication. For further information and consultation please visit http://www.HolisticHealthForWomen.com
