Kerala Packages - Godliness

The God's own country, Kerala is blessed with incredible beauty and charm. Flanked by the Arabian Sea on the west and the Western Ghats on the east, Kerala has always been on the travel itinerary of most of the tourists visiting India.
Kerala, as the name suggests is the land of coconut trees that are seen all over the state.
The Cheras and the Pandyas ruled Kerala till the foreigners took over. The Portuguese were the first to set feet on the soils of Kerala, beginning with the advent of Vasco da Gama in 1498, landing near Kappad in Kozhikode.
Kerala, along with the whole of India was also ruled by the British and the Dutch. A lot of foreign influences can be seen throughout Kerala, like the Chinese who gave to Kerala the famed Chinese fishing nets and the Jewish Synagogue established by the Dutch.
Kerala was the first state to have a democratically elected Communist government under the leadership of Shri E.M.S. Namboodiripad in 1957. Kerala has always been known to be a politically mature and eventful state.
Kochi is considered the commercial hub and the nerve centre of trade and Thiruvananthapuram, ...
... the capital city and political center. Besides these, the other important towns are Kozhikode, Alleppey, Kottayam, Thrissur, Idukki, Wayanad, Malappuram, Palakkad and Kannur, to name a few.
But it is the natural beauty of Kerala that continues to attract tourists. Whether it is the coastal towns that boasts of pristine beaches like Kovalam, Varkala and Kannur or the small hill stations like Munnar and Wagamon and the ranges of Wayanad that beckon mountain lovers, Kerala has it all.
Another unique attraction is the amazing backwaters that Kerala is so famous for. Alleppy or Alappuzha and Kumarakom draw in tourists all year round for a unique trip in the house boats along the snaking network of canals.
Kerala's cultural scene has been always rich what with literary giants and a culture of literacy in all its districts. The art forms of Kerala like Kathakali, Mohiniyattom, Koodiyattom, Ottamthullal, Theyyam, Kalampattu, Chakyarkoothu and Kalaripayattu have fascinated not just tourists from India, but also from abroad.
Kerala has the unique distinction of having India's first mosque, synagogue, and church that were built in the state. Rock-engravings in the Edakkal Caves in Wayanad date from the early to Late Neolithic eras around 5000 B.C.
The Periyar Tiger Reserve or Thekkady, Silent Valley National Park and Muthanga Wild Life Sanctuary are some of the wild life retreats frequented by wild life enthusiasts.
A lot of tour operators can design tailor made Kerala Packages according to the tourist's budget and specific needs. Kerala is well connected to the other states in the country by air, road and rail.
