Different famous painters use oil paint to create new works. A good representative of this style was Franz Marc (Munich, 1880 - Verdún, 1916). He was one of the leading representatives of German expressionist movement. He began his studies in the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich (1900).

Franz's father had much influence in his decision to become a painter. Franz Marc's creations were naturalistic style, but during his expedition to Paris discovered impressionism, especially the work of Vincent Van Gogh. His best known works are portraits of animals. These works are characterized by the brightness of primary colors, cubism, sense of emotion and simplicity.

Among his most recognized works we have: Dog lying in the snow (1910-1911), Yellow Cow (1911), Blue horse (1911), Deer in the snow (1911), the tiger (1912), the fate of animals ...
... (1913), Foxes (1913), three cats (1913), the lamb (1913 - 1914), etc. He died during the World War I.
