Search Around The World - The Google Reality
It is now estimated that there are over 1.5 million searches conducted worldwide EVERY MINUTE! With the exception of China, Google dominates around the world just the same way it has in the US since its inception about a decade ago.
This ongoing and still evolving domination worldwide by Google sets the stage for US Marketers to increasingly target foreign customers. The world is getting smaller by the minute and Google is a major driver. Successful US online marketers can and will become successful international marketers by duplicating its online presence on the dozens of Google Search Engines internationally.
Websites will become increasingly multi-language sites either exclusively in the foreign market search engines or just by clicking on the language of your choice from the originating country's search engine.
Translations into dozens of foreign languages, while not perfect, are readily available at minimum cost.
Further, the proper implementation of Search Engine Marketing expertise offers potentially exponential increases in exposure and resulting business. It is obvious that if you can ...
... be found in countries with total population over 5 billion vs. 300 million in the US; you have a market that is larger by a factor of about 17. Also, the act of deploying websites in multiple languages means more of your pages will be indexed by the Google Spiders. More indexing means more content and more content means greater visibility (higher search engine rankings). These factors all work together to create a snowball effect for your web strategy. Consider the combined effect of multiple websites speaking the correct language. Consider the combined effect of simultaneous SEO (Search Engine Optimization) strategies.
Obviously, Worldwide Search won't be for everyone just the way National Search isn't for businesses that can only provide their products and services locally i.e. tradesmen, local professionals, construction etc. However, those selling products and services that can cross county and state lines can more than likely cross international lines through international, multi-lingual websites made visible by Google and powered by online marketing strategies, particularly Search Engine Optimization.
Optimum7 has recently translated its website into several foreign languages and we are already seeing the visitors after properly indexing and further optimizing the content for each page. We expect to see month by month improvement in our search engine ranking overseas and domestically as described above.
We believe strongly that this will be a major driver for US Marketers in the months and years to come.
