Don’t get us wrong—we’re not suggesting that you put your child up on the roof. But there are plenty of ways that your kids can help you with the monotonous chore of cleaning out the gutters. First, have your child help you walk around the house and check the gutters for spots that are rusty, loose, or look as though they’re crooked. These are the areas of your gutters that you’ll most likely want to repair at a later date.
When it’s time for you to climb up on the ladder and get to work scooping out that gutter muck, ask your child to stay on the ground and put the debris that you scoop out of the gutters into a garbage bag.

You can begin getting your children involved from the start by having them help you pick out the ideal paint color for whatever room you plan on painting. Once it’s time to begin the actual painting process, dress your child in some old clothes and set him or her up with a roller. They’re sure to have a blast helping you paint! This is particularly fun for kids if you’re painting their room.
