With the progress of technology, shopping was made easy which is why more and more people choose to purchase their medicine needs over the internet. Buying from ***your local pharmacy*** with prescription on hand is almost a thing of the past. But before you come to a decision which of the two is more suitable for you, you should weigh first the pros and cons of the two.

One of the main the explanation why people favor to buy medicines online is because of its cheap price. Prices are lower online because online pharmacies don't spend a lot for maintenance unlike offline pharmacies. For one, online pharmacies don't have to pay on overhead expenses and store maintenance unlike offline pharmacies. Being a web based entrant, it is natural for a businessman to have more networks especially from manufacturers that can give him great deals and in return, his prices are lower when compared with commodities in your local pharmacy.

Another reason why online buying is accepted is due to its convenience. Buying online means you no longer have to rush to the pharmacy to get there in time for the office hours or get ...
... frustrated when you arrive late. With online pharmacies, you can purchase medicines anytime and anywhere. There is no need for you to stand in line when you can just set up for automatic medicine refills.

But online buying has its disadvantages too. When you purchase from your local pharmacy, there is person to person interaction and you cannot get this from online transactions. It may also be difficult to find someone to speak with online whenever you have product queries. You cannot get the prescription the same day so it is not ideal for emergency medicines or when you'll want to take the medicine right away. With offline pharmacies, you can have the medicines prescribed to you by your doctor and take them right away. Vitamins supplies and refills are the only kind of medicines that ought to be bought online including those that are not to be taken right away.

Purchasing medicines from online pharmacies have disadvantages as well. One of them is its increased price since local pharmacies have business expenses to attend to including taxes, overhead budget, employees to pay and other maintenance costs. Physical pharmacies have limited stocks and alternatives with less generic counterparts.
