Barcelona is very accessible with its well organized local transportation hubs and facilities with El Prat, its main airport, just 13 kilometers from the city center. The city’s bus and train services are very regular from El Prat which makes it so convenient for tourists to come into Barcelona. Day trips and excursions to and from Barcelona are enjoyed by the tourists as well as the locals who want some hours of excitement around or in Barcelona. Alternative airports are available with Girona and Reus where budget and charter flights abound. Hence, it is not surprising to have millions of tourists and locals dropping in on Barcelona all year long.

The fortified walls run from the Cathedral along the aqueduct which waters the Collserola hills.
