A lot of guys want their garages to be filled with all of the right garage equipment. They want to know that if they need to fix something on their vehicles then they have the right equipment to do so. If they have knowledge on how to make repairs on cars then this is even more important to them. I know because my husband is one of these guys. He cringes every time we have to take one of our cars to the shop because he knows how to do the repairs he just doesn’t have the equipment and tools.

Our anniversary was coming up and I knew what the perfect gift was going to be. I started cleaning out the garage of all the stuff I had stored in their little by little. I wanted to have the garage ready to finish when he went on his week long hunting trip with his buddies. I couldn’t wait for the time to come so I could get started. I enlisted my father to help me in this venture.

After my husband left and the garage was cleaned out we started making buying trips. We started by having an automotive lift installed. So he could now lift the car up and work on it without having to crawl under the car. Then we bought an air ...
... compressor. I had often heard my husband say he wished he had one so he could fill the car tires with air.

Next we bought a Car Diagnostic Tools box and a couple small ones. These were filled with screwdrivers of all types and sizes. There were flat heads and Phillips. I swear we bought half the store out on wrenches. But I wanted him to have all that he would need. I got standard and metric measurement wrenches. I got a socket wrench with a racket. I got adjustable wrenches and an oil wrench.

A few pair of pliers was added to the tool box. A couple different size hammers and a tape measure were put in also. Now that the tool boxes were complete we moved on to some specialty items.

A few of these items were a grease pump, a brake bleeder, a fluid evaluator, and a transmission fluid exchanger. And of course I bought a new jack.

After all was set up I stood back and looked with pride and couldn’t wait for him to see. He came home the morning of our anniversary. After I admired the ring he brought me I led him to the garage to show him all of the garage equipment. To say he was shocked and pleased would be an understatement.
