Consider that year upon year there are new gimmicks and machines coming out, running to lose weight nearly sounds old fashioned. Yet millions of people still find this simple but vigorous activity is the most effective way to lose weight and get in better condition. Getting a partner to go running with is great for your motivation if you think you won't be able to go out and run consistently. It may not be too difficult to find either a family member or a friend with the same goals as yourself as there are plenty of people trying to lose weight these days. The internet or local groups dedicated to fitness or running is a good place to meet activity partners. Having a running partner will make sticking to your schedule a lot easier and you'll be less likely to make excuses to miss out on sessions.
