There are a lot of reasons to travel to Valencia, Spain for a vacation. It is one of the most exciting and largest cities in the entire Spain. It is located right on the Mediterranean Sea so the beaches are magnificent. The most famous beaches in the city are Cabinal-Areanas and Malvarrosa beach. These great beaches get a lot of visitors from April to October. Here you will enjoy a lot of fun activities such as swimming, beach strolls and sun bathing. You can also play tennis or go rollerblading on the beach walks. Another beach that you should visit while you are in Valencia is the Pinedo Beach.

It is a more secluded beach with beautiful sand dunes. It is a lot less crowded than the other beaches in the city. It is the perfect place to swim, sun bathe and just relax without having to deal with a noisy crowd of beach goers. The Pinedo is also near the yacht club where you can find a great restaurant. After dining at the restaurant of the yacht club, you can also try some water sports such as sailing a dinghy or try wind surfing.

The Bellas Artes Museum is another reason to travel to Valencia. It is the best place ...
... to learn about the beautiful culture and rich history of the city. You may also view the great works of famous Spanish artists in the museum. There are works by Luca Giorand, Augustin Esteve, Alonso Cano and Juan Valdes Leal. The museum also displays artifacts, drawings and sculptures from the sixteenth century. The museum has galleries on three floors where you can find great pieces of art as well as history.

The Valencia countryside is worth visiting while spending your vacation in this part of Spain. There are beautiful canyons, mountains and gorges. There is also a magnificent hot spring, about 90 kilometers from the city. The water in the hot spring is exceptionally warm at 77 degrees throughout the year. The hot spring is located on a lagoon. You can swim, snorkel, explore caves and have a picnic while visiting the hot springs. Valencia also has a lot of festivals throughout the year and one of them is the “Night of the Fire” festival where the locals make funny and grotesque cardboard figures which they burn.

Another festival is the feast of the Nuestra Senora delos Desamparados which they celebrate with a procession and an evening parade. July 25 also marks a very important festival in Valencia as they celebrate the feast of the patron saint of
location estartit. There will be plenty of fireworks and colorful parades. The La Tomatina festival in August is a very exciting celebration as hordes of locals and tourists throw thousands of pounds of tomatoes at each other in one of the biggest food fights in the world.
