The Coto Doñana National Park is a wide expanse of wetland in Spain. It is also a very important wildlife reserve in Spain. The entire park has a very large land area at about 1,300 square kilometers. With its size, it is considered as the largest park in the entire Europe. It has also been hailed as a biosphere reserve by the UNESCO because of the beautiful habitat that it has provided for a large number of species that reside in the national park. The Coto Doñana has provided a safe habitat for a large number of amphibians, mammals and a lot of other animal species. Migratory birds have also found a safe haven at the national park. The healthy ecosystem in the park allows it to provide a habitat for a large number of animals.

The Coto Doñana did not just become famous in the recent years. It has been famous for a long time. The national park first gained popularity in the 13th century.
