Wayanad - A Soothing Holiday
Wayanad is a tiny little hill station located in the north-east region of Kerala. The region though tiny is an extremely beautiful hill station, blessed with rich natural beauty from the undulating landscape, rolling slopes, paddy fields, lush greenery and much more. ... meaning land thus, Wayanad literally transforming into the 'land of paddy fields', while, as per another popular belief Wayanad was earlier known as Mayakshetra (Maya’s Land) from where it evolved to Mayanad and finally to Wayanad.

Some of the popular attractions of Wayanad include the Chembra Peak, Neelimala, Meenmutty Falls, Chethalayam Falls, Pakshipathalam, Banasura Sagar Dam, Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, Muthanga Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary. Tholpetty, Jain Temple, Edakkal Caves, Pazhassi Raja's Tomb, Pookote Lake, sentinel Rock Falls, Kanthanpara Falls, Sunrise Valley and much more. A visit to the local markets is also a must, which is famous for its tea, cocoa, pepper, plantain and vanilla.
Along with sightseeing, the rich locales o the region allows tourists to indulge in various sorts of adventure sports activities like trekking, hiking, nature walks and much more.
