On a bright sunny day, as usual, I boarded a local train with my ear phones on. After stepping in, I realized everybody was struggling for grabbing a train strap. Finally, I grabbed one and next moment, I realized that somebody tapped my shoulder, “excuse me please! Need to get off at this station.” As I was minding my steps, I just had a glimpse of this person in white apron and I figured out that he was my best mate from high school; an average student who always mumbles in the class. I jumped out of train and screamed his name; next moment we were having chit chat about the years gone and I must say that conversion changed my attitude for medical assistant jobs.

Below is what happened next, something that changed my life -

Me: Hey Jake! You completely vanished in the thin air dude? Were you overseas to your parents?
Jake: Yah! Nice to see you Daniel! Nah, I was not overseas, I was busy with my two years degree program for medical assistants that I joined after finishing high school. My institute helped me a lot in posting my resume on a Medical Assistant Jobs ...
... /b> website, and here I am, in a white apron; working with a medical institute as a medical assistant.

Me: So, you telling me that you are doctor now? Do not you give me such a cock and bull story? Come on now, tell me the secret?
Jake: I am not a doctor buddy, I don’t do medical things like incisions, vaccinations, medical examinations or any medical diagnosis, though I am preparing with my specialization for doing so. But as of now, I am a medical assistant, doing administrative kind of things like, taking phone calls; preparing patient’s medical histories and reports; preparing their medical insurance claims; arranging appointments and others.

Me: So what subjects you studied, if those were not medical related?
Jake: I studied subjects like human anatomy, computers, accounting subjects such as bookkeeping, insurance processing and transcription. During my course, I spent few hours in laboratories as well. It is true that anyone with a high school diploma can enroll himself with this course, but for brightening up your chances for job, you need to obtain few voluntary certifications from an authorized entity like Association of Medical Technologists or American Association of Medical Assistants.

Me: What if I started doing this now, do you think by the time I finish this, I will be able to get a job?
Jake: Certainly, you will be able to get one, as the statistics revealed by Department of Labor Bureau, USA, clearly indicated 163,900 more of medical assistant jobs till 2018.

Me: Thanks Jake. Would you mind mailing the details regarding this course and institutes? I guess no.
