How many times do we look around our homes throughout the year thinking, “Wow, this place is a mess”? Without a doubt, life tends to get away from us; projects we started end up in an unfinished heap, we gain (or lose!) weight but do not get rid of our old clothes even if we can no longer wear them, kids bring in toys and crafts… Life can be a mess. Clothing can also be more easily contained by boxing up clothes that are out of season and putting them into storage until you need them again.

Another culprit that often causes us to keep a messy home is keepsakes. No mother has an easy time parting with things like favorite baby clothes, handmade cards or pictures. Luckily, you don’t have to. Storage of keepsake items can be simple and also aesthetically pleasing. Baby clothes can be turned into a quilt or kept in an antique trunk until they can be passed down to grandkids.
