The five speed manual transmission coupled with the engine pushes the car to deliver quite an impressive mileage of 14 to 18 km per litre. The Vxi variant of Maruti Wagon R has CNG Mode as well, which would churn out about 59.3 PS of power at the rate of 6200 rpm with 77 Nm of maximum torque at the rate of 3500 rpm. However, the power and torque output in CNG mode is less, but the CNG mode delivers its best performance in terms of mileage output.
On the safety front, you will find Maruti Wagon R to be blessed with anti lock braking system, intelligent computerized anti theft system, dual airbags, collapsible steering wheel, halogen headlamps, top class suspension system and so on. The suspensions system here comprises of McPherson strut with coil spring on the front, while the rear suspension include in isolated trailing link with coil spring.
