Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan, widely renowned for its royal grandeur and splendor clearly visible among the various grand palaces, magnificent forts and the life style of the region, which attracts tourists from all parts of the world to experience the hospitality of Indian royalty. Fondly referred to as the 'Pink City', Jaipur forms an integral part of the 'Golden Triangle' of the Indian tourism industry, the other two being Delhi and Agra. Jaipur represent a harmonious balance of traditions and modernism, both complementing each other perfectly to give the region a fresh and vibrant appeal.

Jaipur besides its royal beauty also takes great pride in its rich heritage and past. The city was founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in the year 1727 and is accordingly named after him. Jaipur was developed as India's first planned city. In the year 1876, Jaipur wore its famous terracotta pink color to resemble the red sandstone architecture of the Mughal to welcome its royal guest Prince of Wales.

Along with sightseeing and shopping, a must do in Jaipur is enjoy the various cultural programs organized on a daily basis from the interesting puppet shows to the folk songs and dance performances. Another must do in the region is to enjoy a camel or elephant ride in the region. Not to forget every tourist to the region should definitely feast on the highly delectable local cuisine.
