A software program may be a corrupt data that interrupts the programming of the computer and spreads from one computer to another and deletes all the data in the hardware. Computer viruses spread by replicating and also gets transferred by attachments in emails or removable disks. You get to become the victim of these viruses as they disguise themselves as attachments of funny images, video files, greeting cards, etc. Sometimes they get downloaded and hidden in the files you download.

When a virus enters a computer, it starts multiplying by making copies of itself intentionally, when the corrupted or infected file is executed. Usually the virus is introduced to the computer system through downloading software programs or through email attachments. A virus when enters the computer can attach itself or even replace an existing program very easily, so as the user when aware of the virus attached, happens to run the infected program, and thus the virus is also triggered to multiply.

Email viruses that have millions of victims very often, a Trojan horse that damages the entire computer hard disk when you run the infected program, Worms that replicate using the computer network and also the security holes in the computer system. These viruses are instructed to infect the computer system and also every virus has it’s a unique effect that ranges from harmless to wipe off of the computer system.

Some of the common effects of the viruses are like the appearance of a message on the computer screen, memory and disk space are reduced to a great level that leads to decrease in the speed of the computer, the data being modified, files will be overwritten or many a times damaged so that you will not be able to open it, all data on the hard disk will be erased and sometimes the hard disk cannot be detected, etc. Whatever may be the issue, in today’s world of technology, the technical support services for the virus issues are increasing day by day for the mankind to leap a sophisticated life without losing any information.
