23 Weeks And 25 Weeks Pregnant Mothers And Their Babies

The mother who is 23 weeks pregnant carries a 1.1 pound and about 11 inch baby in her belly. During this period the following changes occur in the baby:
1. The skin of the baby is red and wrinkled but this condition begins to change as more and more fat begins to deposit. As the weeks pass during this period, the baby continues to accumulate fat and become more proportional in appearance.
2. During this period, the reactions of the baby begin to develop and his or her reactions to music or dance or jubilation can also be felt by the mother. The mothers are suggested to play and move or dance so that the sense of movement for the baby develops.
3. During this period, the bones of the ear and the hearing mechanisms also develop and therefore mothers can listen to loud sounds or music.
4. During this period, the blood vessels and the lungs take rapid strides in their development however they will mature fully only after the 37th week.
5. During this period, the baby has a lot of space to move around in the uterus and therefore the mother might feel a lot of flipping and movements.
There are ...
... very little chances for the baby to survive if there has to be an unfortunate delivery during this period. One should note that the chances of survival increase by 3% with every passing week.
The 23 weeks pregnant mothers experience a few major changes of which the increase in the weight by about 15 pounds is the most noteworthy. Some mothers might feel unbalanced during this period while walking because the baby has a lot of space to move. Mothers will also experience stretch marks during this period and there is no foolproof way of avoiding them.
At 25 weeks pregnant, the baby is about 1.5 pounds in weight and measures about 14 inches from top to bottom. The most important developments in the baby during this period are the following:
1. One of the most important organ of human body, spinal cord forms during this period. This is a complicated structure which has 33 rings of bones, about 150 joints and over 1000 ligaments. These structures combine to form the spine that will support the entire weight of the body.
2. The baby’s hearing grows acute during this period and therefore one might experience that the baby is startled by the noises.
3. The fine capillaries are formed during this period and the blood flow in the lungs improves. The air sacs in the lungs are also formed.
25 weeks pregnant mothers continue to gain weight but for the first time they will experience burden on their pelvis and back. There is pressure and numbness on the back on some occasions. Rapid movements should be avoided during this period.
