Agra - Pilgrimage Of Love

Agra is like any other Indian city located in the northern region of the country in the state of Uttar Pradesh, except for the fact that it is home to the grand monument of love the 'Taj Mahal' a UNESCO enlisted World Heritage Site. The region is one of the most popular tourist destinations of India widely recognized all over the world. Millions of tourists from all quarters of the world flock to the region to witness the grand love of Shah Jehan and Mumtaj Begum epitomized forever by this grand monument and as such Agra can be said to be a pilgrimage site for all love birds of the world. Apart from these UNESCO enlisted World Heritage Sites, there are plenty of other attractions present in the region like Swami Bagh, Ram Bagh, Mehtab Bagh, balkeshwar Temple, Kailash Temple, Sikandra, Itmad - Ud - Daulah's Tomb, Jama Masjid, Chini Ka Roza and others. The local markets of the region are no less a tourist attraction and are renowned for their leather goods, perfumes, bangles, etc. A must do in Agra is feasting on the renowned pethas (Indian sweet) and the highly delicious varieties of chats.
Hosting millions of visitors every year there is no dearth of good hotels and resorts in Agra offering plenty of accommodation options to tourists to choose from.
