Upcoming 2012 Events For Web Designers In Pennsylvania

Web designers in Pennsylvania know that in the ever-changing world of technology, there’s never an end to learning. To aid in that learning, several conferences in various cities within the state are planned. Design, development and programming pros can use these events to expand their knowledge and be more effective in their work.
Web Conference at Penn State University
The June 11-12 Web Conference at Penn State University is already sold out. Web designers in Pennsylvania obviously consider the conference is a “must-attend” event. There is a waiting list, however, which you can access here.

Plan ahead for next year, because the event is always highly educational for web designers. Pennsylvania provides numerous opportunities for developers to learn more about design strategy and the latest technology, and the Web Conference at Penn State is one of the more popular.
Wharton Web Conference
On July 10, web designers in Pennsylvania ...
... can attend the Wharton Web Conference. Apple Computer founder Steve Wozniak is scheduled to speak along with Dr. Lyle Ungar, an associate professor of computer and information science at the University of Pennsylvania.
It should prove to be an excellent event that will provide lots of useful pragmatic and theoretical information to web designers. Pennsylvania resident Jessica Ivins, a seasoned web developer, will also speak along with three other professionals in the field.
Seven sessions are planned for web designers in Pennsylvania who want the latest information on how to increase their skills and abilities. The sessions include:
The keynote address from Steve Wozniak
“Design Systems, Not Stuff,” by Abby Covert
“Object-oriented CSS,” by Nicole Sullivan
“Data Mining,” by Lyle Ungar
“Useful, Usable & Desirable: Designing for Users,” by Jessica Ivins
“HTML5: Beyond the Hype,” by Nick Floro
“Powerful Techniques for Negotiating with Clients,” with no speaker ascribed
Pittsburgh Web Design Day 2012
On October 26, web designers in western Pennsylvania will want to check out Pittsburgh Web Design Day 2012. To be held at the New Hazlett Theater in Pittsburgh, the event still needs presenters and sponsors.
Web designers from Pennsylvania or anywhere else can submit a simple form to be considered for a speaking engagement at the conference. Guidelines note that presentations must be about web development, design, IA, UX or strongly related to these topics.
Presentations should be at least 45 minutes long. Shorter talks, called “Lightening Talks,” can be about 10 minutes. Organizers expect some 200 attendees, which might include web developers, programmers and web designers. Pennsylvania creatives should have a great time at this event.
Web designers in Pennsylvania are always learning and improving
Of course, there are a multitude of conferences throughout the United States every year that are highly useful for web designers. Pennsylvania professionals in the design/development field should take in as many as possible as they continue to navigate the learning curve new technologies constantly present to us.
