Menopause originates from two Greek words that mean month and to end and the medical meaning of menopause implies just the same: the failure of menstruation for year. It can happen anywhere between late thirties and late 50s, and can not be deflected by a single female. It is not shocking that ladies want to prepare for menopause and avoid discomfort using a large range of handy menopause tests.

though menopause is a natural part of growing older, various menopause signs start disturbing their each day routine. The symptoms include missed or heavy menses, hot sweating and flashes, mood changes, anxiety, wakefulness. Due to hormonal fluctuations a female may put on some pounds. Then, after full twelve months of absent menses, a female enters menopause, and after twelve months a woman is post-menopausal. While most females experience mild distress, others may have moderate to severe medical associated conditions and wants to alleviate from the signs.

The menopause test measures the presence of a hormone called as follicle stimulating hormone (FSH). This hormone is produced by female's pituitary gland. Follicle stimulating ...
... hormone levels increase temporarily every month to stimulate ovaries to produce eggs. When a woman enters menopause and ovaries cease working, her follicle stimulating hormone levels increase.

Applying urine to the wick of a menopause test kit initiates menopause tests. If a female's hormonal level is higher compared to normal, it may indicate that she is bordering menopause. However, this test is not a confirmative test and is influenced by oral or patch contraceptives, hormone replacement therapy, or estrogen supplements woman has been taking before the test.

There are lots of traditional menopause tests. Usually these tests require a sample of blood that is sent for analysis. If the menopause test results show that the hormonal levels are higher above the norm, it is standard medical protocol to carry out a second menopause test.

Today, menopause symptoms can be treated by traditional or herbal therapy methods. If you are concerned about the symptoms of menopause talk to your physician about a menopause test.
