Safari Holidays In Africa Offers A Lifetime Experience

Whatever your preference, there is a safari to suit everyone, from honeymooners to those visiting for family adventure holidays. Whether you want to drive yourself or would rather a take guided tour of the landscape, with a variety of lodging options, from camping to luxury lodges, you won't be stuck for choice!
East Africa
Kenya is host to an extensive range of national parks and game reserves. Of these, Masai Mara National Reserve is perhaps the most renowned. Located in southwest Kenya, Masai Mara has an abundance of protected wildlife set in rolling grasslands. As well as a large population of wildcats, visitors will also be able to spot the 'big five' if lucky!
Across the border in Tanzania, the Masai Mara continues on as the Serengeti National Park. This is seen as one of the best wildlife reserves in Africa due to its concentration of animals, from giraffes in grassland plains to swampy savannah filled with crocodiles.
Between May and July each year, both countries are host to the annual wildebeest migration from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara, designated a Natural Wonder of the World.

... Africa
South Africa's Kruger National Park is one of the largest game reserves in Africa and has more species of large mammals than any other. As the animals are so adapted to passing vehicles, there is an excellent chance that you will get some very close-up views.
Also in the country is Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve, the oldest proclaimed park in Africa. It houses 86 special species, including the largest population of white rhino in the world.
The enormous Chobe National Park in Botswana offers a diverse range of wildlife. It has one of the largest concentrations of game on the continent. The Central Kalahari Game Reserve, the second largest in the world, can also be found in the country, as can the Okavango Delta, the world's largest inland delta.
Zambia's South Luangwa National Park is world-renowned for its wildlife and offers one of the best ranges of walking safaris in Africa.
Family Friendly Adventures
Family adventure holidays don't get much more exciting than a safari and most destinations offer services that cater to families with children (do check minimum age limits!).
When on safari with children, being flexible and taking your time are good tips to follow; children tend to have shorter attention spans. However, by working this into your plans you don't have to miss out on a thing!
Safari holidays can be an unforgettable experience. Children have a great sense of adventure, so a safari is ideal! They will relish activities like camping in the wilderness and walking in rough terrain and having the chance to be up close to wild animals is awe-inspiring. You could even take the chance to combine your safari with other activities, such as the beautiful beaches of South Africa, or seeing the dolphins off the coast of Tanzania.
The African landscape is beautiful, varied and wild. Whatever your requirements for a safari holiday, you are sure to find it here!
