Made entirely out of white marble, this mausoleum is in memory of Shah Jahan’s third wife Mumtaz Mahal who died during childbirth. One of the finest examples of Mughal architecture that combines elements of Persian, Turkish and Indian architecture, Taj Mahal’s central tomb is the most renowned features of this edifice.
