Dickson Lauds Fcmb For Promising To Employ Indigenes Of Bayelsa

LAGOS, NIGERIA, MAY 8, 2012 - Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa has lauded the management of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) for its decision to offer employment to Bayelsa indigenes.
Dickson made the commendation in Yenegoa when Mr Ladi Balogun, the Chief Executive Officer of the bank, paid him a courtesy visit.
The governor said he would direct the ministries of Manpower Development and Employment Generation to begin the process of selecting qualified Bayelsa indigenes to be absorbed by the bank.
He also expressed his willingness to accept the bank’s offer of partnership with the state on tourism development.
The governor urged Ladi Balogun to project Bayelsa as a state with a favourable investment climate ready for investment.
He said his administration had a clear vision for the development of the state, especially in key areas of agriculture, education and health and urged the private sector to play a prominent role in helping his administration in realising this ambition.

He stressed the need for the government to start the process of developing the immense tourist potential of the state to create wealth and employment.
Ladi Balogun said officials of the bank had identified some areas in the state as tourist sites which would attract investors if developed.
